Water mixed with fuel in cylinder
#1
ATV'ers,
I recently had the cylinder on my 85 LT 250 R re-sleeved back to stock specs. While breaking it in, gently, The LT sudeenly dies. BAsically I had water get into the fuel mixture BEFORE it got into the cylinder. (It was puddled on the piston under the fuel ports) This in turn ruined my piston with about 4 hours on it. Would you suspect either bad base gasket placement/sealing or a faulty re-sleeving job? I am hoping for the gasket scenario. Any help would be appreciated.
