T5s for $410 from magic racing?
#2
I bought T-5's from Magic about six months ago for $419. (Unpainted Steel) I believe the jet kit was another $40. (Well worth it !) Magic racing is in Michigan. Thay don't have a website or catalog, but they advertise in the magazines alot. They are very professional and have everything in stock. For me it started with an e-mail to Toomey, (www.toomey.com) They are very experienced with Banshees. They test everything. I followed their recommendation to the letter. I now beat Banshees with billet heads and 35 carbs. All I did was shave the stock head .030, install boyesen reeds(#645, I think), NGK 9EV plugs, 4 degree timing advance, installed T-5's, jets ,needles, air box vents, and uni-filter. Sent Stuart an e-mail at Toomey he'll give you the part numbers for the plugs and reeds, along with some oil/mixture recommendations.
FYI I painted the pipes with black paint for an outdoor grill from Lowe's and they still look great.

I just talked to my buddy, we paid $429 and it included the jet kit.....but I was just looking at the classifieds and a guy has two sets of T-5's listed for $275 each. You might want to check him out and buy the jet kit straight from Toomey.

If you're referring to the ad in the classifieds, that is a good deal. I would suggest C.O.D., or possibly picking them up. I've read too many posts about people getting ripped off from internet classifieds. I saw in your ad you have Tag handlebars, do you like them? That or a steering stabilizer will be my next purchase.

I have the TAG T2's, they are pro-tapers. I like them alot. I have the "quad race" style. I like the way they flex, it reduces pain when landing off a jump hard or something like that. I haven't rolled the quad over yet (surprisingly) with the bars on (had them about 3months), so I don't know if they bend or not in a rollover but I highly doubt they will. They were expensive, you have to buy a mounting kit to, but it is worth it. I originally ordered the regular ones, but they sent me t2's so I just bought a mounting kit and put them on, I am glad I keep them and didn't send them back for the ones with a crossbar. They also make the quad look trick. Next I am also thinking of getting a dampner, I would say for you to get the bars first if you have stock ones on now, then get the dampner. I forget what mail order I bought bars from, I can find out if you want me to, it wouldn't be a problem, and I bought the mounting kit at the dealer, I had to have it specially ordered.
