My 97 Warrior has never had any wax of any kind on it and it looks like new except for the few stone chips Or scuff marks from boots, and no wax can prevent those. My secret?...Something called 303 protectorant. It is sunblock for plastic or rubber. Here in Az, we have the dubious honor of being second only to Australia in damage from UV rays, causing skin cancer and rotting or fading of plastic or rubber parts. After washing my quads I spray this 303 on all the plastic & rubber parts, including tires gas lines grips, etc after every ride. Unlike some other products 303 contains no petroleum. You know what petroleum does to rubber.
You can get more info or order it from the manufacturer direct at 800-223-4303 or if you have a Camper World store in your area, they sell it for less than the factory. Or you can call Camper World at 800-626-5944.
It comes in spray bottles in sizes up to one gal.

I have found that using 0000 Super Fine Steel Wool and Meguiars Mirror Glaze Wax really works good on my Red Banshee. All Meguiars is pretty much the same except for amount of grit in wax to cut through oxidization of paint. I just put a couple drops in a small area and work it in with the super fine steel wool and take your time at it scrubbing and rubbing it on the plastic really works pretty good. Some of my stock 89 rear fender had some whitening or chalking on the red and doing the waxing with steel wool took care of this and it has a nice shine again.

RaceGlaze makes a product called auto trim renew. It works good on any color. It shines and hides scratches on plastic really well.I also use it on my seat cover. It keeps everything soft to prevent cracking and breaking.
