oil mix ratio

I don't ride a Banshee but I've always heard that 32/1 was the correct mix, but possibly on a new mchine it would be wise to run a little richer mix till the rings, pistons etc, become seated. Yamaha no doubt thinks it safer to err on the side of rich rather than lean. I think if it were my bike I'd go with the 24/1 for the first couple of tanks or so of gas...worst thing that could happen would be a fouled plug or two.

I have been running 32:1 in my new Banshee, all my Banshee friends do as well, some are very old and running great.
How ya liking your new machine? I'm lovin' it! The old CR is going to be sittin' for awhile I think....

I have a '00 Banshee that I have been breaking in for the past month. I have been running Yamalube at 24:1 for the breakin period. BTW lose the stock filter and get a pro flow kit. FYI I just added FMF Fatty Torque pipes and Boyesen power reeds and what a difference in performance. Not bad for $430 in Mods
