whats your needle at? did you adjust the fuel screw? sounds more of a needle problem not the main. i have a 160main, needle on 3rd clip and 2 turns out on fuel screw with the airbox lid off. I had the 150main in with the air box lid on, took the lid off put the 160 in and shes got a ton more power, pull wheels in 4th if i get a good dip in the road.

also do what reconranger said about the esr lid and outerwears. With the lid off you airbos will need cleaning a lot more frequently.go buy 2 new plugs and put one in and do a plug chop. Take a look it might help a bit, but dont rely on it very much, its just a ball park reading. Mine is nice and brown on the tip and the porcelin is a bit brown too, might be a tad rich on the idle and fuel screw.

the fuel screw in under a soft plug that will have to be drilled out to get to, its on the bottem of your carb. i'lll try and find a pic of it for you. some carb's did not have the plug others do . its easy to do, you may want to remove the carb from the quad , its rather easy ,i know of some that make a big deal of it taking the gas tank off ,fenders and air box, you dont need to do that .
