new project!
put the engine in the frame. also gear it to the moon. the street bikes dont have much torque on the bottom and it takes a little clutch action to get em rolling. then they really dont start making power until they are really moving across the sand. of course i was asuming that this was going to be a sand rider. sorry if i spoke to early.

so i guess maybe some numbers would help to start. i had a 400ex with a cbr 929rr engine stuffed in it. the engine made 134 h.p. in stock trim. then the whole package weighed in at around 480 lbs. the gearing i started with was 13f 41r. ended up with a 58 in the rear and probably couldve have went with a 62 or 63 tooth rear sprocket. the atv would still go faster than i ever wanted to across the sand. i was once clocked at 87m.p.h. with more left in it.
