i am transforming a awesome project i am tacking a 1984 250r and putting a 91 kawasaki 650 streetbike engine in it if anyone has any tips let me know!

should be sweet when your done. how meny hp is that engine? 70+?

abut 90hp the bike itself in normal form tops out at 180mph so it will be quick

has anyone ever put a atc/atv swingarm on a streetbike if so let me know what would be better putting an atc/atv swing arm on a streetbike or cutting the frame and putting the ingine in an atc frame

put the engine in the frame. also gear it to the moon. the street bikes dont have much torque on the bottom and it takes a little clutch action to get em rolling. then they really dont start making power until they are really moving across the sand. of course i was asuming that this was going to be a sand rider. sorry if i spoke to early.

ya its gonna be a sand bike but i want to be able to race it in the dirt too but thanks for the advice that will help alot

so i guess maybe some numbers would help to start. i had a 400ex with a cbr 929rr engine stuffed in it. the engine made 134 h.p. in stock trim. then the whole package weighed in at around 480 lbs. the gearing i started with was 13f 41r. ended up with a 58 in the rear and probably couldve have went with a 62 or 63 tooth rear sprocket. the atv would still go faster than i ever wanted to across the sand. i was once clocked at 87m.p.h. with more left in it.

thats sweet the engine in this one is coming out of a ninja 650 that got crashed by some teen but the engine still runs great so the kid is selling it to me for 50 dollars with the whole bike
