I haven't done a hot 440ex set up like that, but I have done mild ones.

In any application, when you're going to add more air and fuel like that, more cc's and more cam, it would be wise to have someone port your head and get a bigger carb. Your motor is basically a pump, and you've made the pump bigger but now you're restricting it with factory side carb and ports.

There should be a BIG difference if you save up some coin for a GOOD port job, and an aftermarket carb. Those parts you have already installed aren't living up to their potential without letting more VOLUME of air and fuel in. Get it?

I would also add the rev box if I was you. I think dynatek probably makes one for you, I have heard they are a good company for cdi boxes.
