FTZ Alky carbs

does anybody run or know a few facts about FTZ alcohol carbs on a banshee? i got a FTZ brochure and i was wondering if they were any better than just getting my 35mm carb converted.

Depending on what other mods you are running the difference will be could be night and day. With 35's now I'd guess you pretty built and would say that in a 300' drag you should gain 3-5 lengths.

I don't think you could've choosen a better alky carb to go with! They know they stuff. I had a CT 39PWK last year and it was good, but the build quality and tunability with FTZ is 100% better. I'll have one (38mm Mikuni) on my 400 this year.

Alcohol is very tricky to atomize correctly especially in 2-strokes. If the fuel isn't atomized then you will run into rich/lean problems at different RPM's. Most modifications are simply rejeting and adding different needles. However, FTZ's 2-stroke carbs have a specially designed venturi that ensures good atomization. I think you will like their setup. Be sure to get their intakes if you are still using stock.

adjustable power jet on alky carbs is the way to go. you can tune the mixture just by turning a ****. the best alky 2 stroke carb i ever used was from lemco 816 257 5427. this a old number and it may not be any good.
