they reduce the volume of the reed cage. this increases the speed of the fuel charge through the reed cage which increases the torque it says in the catalog. the best way i found to increase the torque was to make a divider out of the same fiberglass that they make reeds out of and run it from the bottom of the V in the reed cage to the silde in the carb. what this does is divide the intake tract into 2 sections and when you are under half throttle you are just using 1/2 the intake track volume and this increases the speed of the fuel charge, and acts like a smaller carb. this will increase the torque of the engine. i ran this on my RM 250 for trail and pipeline riding and i could tell the difference. you still have the full volume at full throttle for max power.

What would a Torgue Stuffer on a four stroke enigne be? I noticed on Alba's webpage, they list their custom Wolverine has having a "custom Torque Stuffer". Any idea what this could be?

i have no idea what it would be on a 4 stroke unless they reduce the intake port volume or sleeve the carb down which also works on a 2 stroke.
