Default 1996 Scrambler 4 x 4

I was thinking of trading a 1996 Scrambler for my 2001 raptor 660 but I am afraid that it ll be slow compared to the Raptor how much does the performance mods help the 400 2 stroke how do they compare perfomance wise to other quads 4 x 4 and sports ??? Thank you all for your responses

I've had a polaris sport 2X4 and a '01 raptor.Alot just depends on what you like.
In stock form, the raptor should outrun the sport.
The 400 does have alot of potential with mods but the raptor also wakes up with mods.
I'm currently building a '98 sport.
The raptor is alot lighter machine and has plenty of aftermarket parts available.
The 400 is heavy but can be lightened up some and there are aftermarket parts for it as well.

Some people prefer a clutch equipped machine while others prefer an automatic.
Both are great machines. The 400 will require a little more maintainence but nothing extreme.

In stock form also, the raptor seemed too tippy to me but that can be resolved with aftermarket parts.
