I have a stock 97 blaster and want to increase power without getting into the engine..Can anyone suggest a good air filter, pipe and carb setup........Also, is there a rear brake system that can replace the stock setup and what would it cost?????

My brother put an FMF pipe and boysen reeds on his '95 Blaster and had it rejetted. He also put on 18" tires and a 14 tooth front sprocket. It's amazing how much the performance increased with pipe, reeds and rejetting. The tires added to the low end but he lost a lot of top end. The sprocket helped bring the gear ratio back up some. The prices were about: pipe/$150, reeds/$20, sprocket/$15, jet/$2 plus labor if you have someone else do it. You might check out www.blastercentral.com for some tips on modifying a Blaster. They also have a forum.
