oK;
i have got an hmf slip-on and a jet kit in my 350 raptor..i was wondering if i should get a K&N air fliter, or if i really need one.
I heard about taking off the air box lid, but it just doesnt seem right..should i just drill some holes in it, or what??
Thanks

im runnin with an open airbox and i took the snorkel off on my quad (400ex) and its been running great. i do know that with all that extra air goin into your motor, it will possibely cause it to run lean. all you gotta do is adjust your carb settings to a richer fuel setting and everythin should be good. and on my bike the kn made no real difference between a uni foam filter that im running right now.

just take lid off and yea run the k&n and if u want to get an outer wear so when the water gets on the filter it will not get sucked into the carb

I just had my sons 350 on the dyno, here is what I did. Same pipe, dyno jet kit, dropped the needle two positions and used two size smaller main jet than recomended for 5,000 elavation. I can not remember the exact size but can look into for you if you need me to. I put the K&N adaptor and air filter on and I am running the lid. It made 24 Horse power to rear wheel at 59mph on dyno. hope this helps.

Do I really need the adaptor? I know that I should get the Pre-Filter wrap.
