no partically any year, just one in the transmisson/ oil cooler section (their the same thing) smallest one they had, like i said it would be eaisier to get one off a street bike from honda because it has the same fittings, but advance one was about 30 or so buks and it has everything, and my headlights came on the 400ex, the bulbs are xenon hyper whites, from rickystator.com

Does the oil still read like normal on the dip stick or do you have to add more?

depending on how big the oil cooler is, you may have to add more fuel, I would suggest getting one off a street bike of honda varaint, should bolt up and no custom work would need to be done, just as long as it doesnt hit the headers.

There are aluminum oil tanks that have holes welded into them, I've heard that they work pretty good, but they cost alot.

I just purchased a trx 400ex. It is in great shape, however it sat for over a year. I had it tuned, new carb kit, oil, filter and tires. I drained gas and put new gas in. The shop that did this said it was running great, however it would stall at idle and they said it should clear after gas is drained and replaced. I did that and rode it for about 15 minutes and noticed the exhaust pipe at engine was getting red? It definetly was hot! Not knowing much about what it could be, and hoping someone can give me some ideas.

New to this.

Sounds like it might be jetted lean. You'll want to get this taken care of, if it's the case.
