300hp is more like a V8 engine...not a quad engine, snowmobile engine, or hayabusa engine. 300 horses in a quad wouldn't even be fun.

 

FYI atv-fan the hillbilly banshee with a trick motor and turbo is putting out 500 HP and supersonic toys busa build with a turbo is putting out around 350 not sure the exact # Mine is putting a little over 200HP and it is scary but very fun.:0)

 

ok, then I guess its the equivelent to a V8 engine with a little bit of extras considering I got an '84 Camaro with a small block 400 in it pushing out 400hp.

 

better get a colostomy bag so when you take 300hp turbocharged or supercharged NOS quad out on a tight trail you dont have to take a 1,000,000 changes of clothes with you for a 5 minute ride... and make sure you have it video taped when you ride that thing on the trails.or on 2nd thought maybe you better not video tape it that video would end up gettin ATV's outlawed.

 

I think that bag would fill up in a hurry SW500. My pickup truck with a small V-8 is only 270 HP, so 300 horses in a quad that weighs maybe 1/8 as much would be kind of nuts.

 

well, according to Tpsycho, it's possible. In fact, he claims he's seen 500hp. I'm sorry Tpsycho, but I can't believe that as truth. 500 horses coming out of a quad is rediculous.

 

atv-fan Look up Hillbilly banshee on the internet and Utube. I realy don't care if anybody believes me I am just stating facts and if you think it is not true look up the web site Hyabusa zone they have busa motors putting out more than that.
Hope this helps you expand your knowledge of motors. Also look up Wild thing he is running over 700 on a supercharged nytro burning streetbike motor he has the sand drag world record for a atv. Rite now a guy on No Mercy Racing is building one he expects to see between 900 and 1000 HP I know it sounds stupid fast but some guy's are doing it.

 

Tpsyco, Dont know why they dont believe you man. Guess they just havent been around long enough and just dont know the people you and I do.
Plus I think some people are missing the fact that were not talking about single cyl atv engines, were talking about HIGHLY MODDED 4 cyl inline crotch rocket motors in ATV frames.
300 horse is EASILY obtainable from these motors.

The 500 HP+ ATVs are out there. There are just fewer of them than Raptor 700's. LOL

 

I have absolutely no problem believing that you can mod out an engine and put it into an ATV and get over 300hp.... I have issues believing it would be a good trail bike then add the fact you dont want to extend the frame at all and only use a +3 rear swing arm.... ive met gary @ silver lake and seen his machines in action they are pretty sick... hell i even have video of them i have taken personally of his machines in action!

 

I don't need to look at the website to understand that I'm wrong. There is too many people here telling me that its true and providing proof of it. I just don't see the fun in it. It seems scary and dangerous too. I'm all for speed, but I'll keep the 900 horses in my car.
