does anybody have any info on how well clutch kits perform? are they worth the money? I've read articles when installed on scramblers and 2wds but nothing on 4wds.

I have the HP clutch kit on my 99 Sportsman 500cc 4x4.With installation it costs around 230 dollars. It raises the engagement speed a few hundred rpms.It improves backshifting, improves belt life.Your top end speed will not change with a clutch kit, however, you will get there quicker. Was it worth the investment?I dont think I'd do it again for the 230 dollar expense.Im hearing that the roller set-up is better though.Oh yah,I can wheelie my Sportsman in low gear now with the kit.===BILL
