My '00 Wolverine is cutting out and sputtering when I go up a hill or cut donuts. I recently got water in it, but I thought I got it all out. I cleaned the carb and added some gas treatment but it still does it. Any ideas?

I would try by checking your float height
first. This is a very important thing that a lot
of people overlook. If the height is too low
the bike will starve when accelerating hard
up hill etc.

Where did the water go? Into the engine? was it running at the time?

It may be something as simple as a bad ground on the reverse selector. Could be as bad as worn piston, rings and valve guides from a hydraulic seizure.

This Wolverine is only 3 months old...should I already have to adjust the float position? Would getting water in the carb change the float position? I'll check it. Thanks.

If I had done damage to the pistons, rings or valve guides, would there be any signs? Would it smoke or make a particular noise? It only cuts out now when you go up a steep hill or cut alot of donuts real fast. It acts like it's either not getting enough gas or not getting fire. I didn't think it was a gas problem, because every now and then when it's cutting out, I can smell gas. But most people that I've heard from say check the float...so I will.
