Typically to get the large displacement Banshee motor, let's say in excess of 500cc's, the stock cylinders won't cut it. There are a few companies out there that use all sorts of other cylinders. Superior Sleeve, Engine Trix, WhiteKnuckle, and I'm sure a whole host of other shop use them.

It's a must to get the full potential out of a big bore stroker like that. The transfer passages not matter how worked over, simply can't keep up with larger bore of those huge motors. The port design (maybe 8 or more ports) and layout are usually far better than the old Banshee design.

The Banshee came from the RZ350 street bike, while they lost the power valve (YPVS), the port designs are almost identical(just the timings and size are slightly different OEM), so the Banshee cylinder tech is pretty old compared to alot of the new stuff, especially compared to the cylinder designs of the late 80's thru the mid 90's.

That is often what adds so much cost to the large B-B Strokers, the massive amounts of machining and welding sometimes required to graft those cylinders on.

Is it possible to get a RZ350 powervalve cylinders and put it on a 99 Banshee motor. This would probably give it a lot more power.

Backcountry pretty much covered everything. POrt magic(ruddy kurtz) builds allot of these "square cylinder" motors. They are very expensive. 5-8000$! Thay do run though. Really they are only suitable for hill racing or drag racing. You cant just slip one of these cylinders on, it takes lots of machine work and welding. Supperior sleave actually has its own cast cylinders for the banshee though that just blts on, very similar to what CT is trying.
