Blown up!!!

Well i blew up the motor in my ex well actually it still runs it just needs some serious work. I need a piston, rings, wrist pin, valves, roacker shafts, and probably more i want put a high compression piston in it. Any suggestionsabout what else what size. Just anything else to put in it to make it faster???

ex,

Look into the 11:1 coated piston from LRD Performance. Add a 450/451 grind cam from WebCam while you have the engine apart. Also maybe some port work...

I would call TC, Curtis Sparks or Powroll and get it built. They will do it as mild or as wild as you like depeding on what you want to spend.
I know TC can take your 300 all the way to 406CC..

Or you can maybe even think about dropping in a 350X engine or a 400EX engine...

Doesn't weisco make a high compression piston or the 300ex? If so how much does it cost?

Hello...yes Wiseco does make a high compression piston for the EX...11:1 comp ratio..bore is 74mm pt# 4574PS...74.5mm or .020..pt#4574P2...75mm or .040...pt#4574P4...75.5mm or.060..pt#4574P6...76mm or.080 pt#4574P8...they list all the pistons at the same price..133.74 Canadian dollars...the piston comes with the wrist pin, rings and circlips...call there Tech line at (519) 537-6281...I hope that helped somewhat

Well..i have a question. Do i have to run a performance cam to run an 11:1 piston?

Howdy...nothing will happen if you don't run a high performance cam but for the additional 100 bucks for the cam it would be well worth it..after all your going to have the engine tore apart anyway...you biggest decision is to figure out if you want more mid to top end power or more bottom end to mid range power...check out this site for cams...http://www.webcaminc.com/

Well i'm workin on a job, so eventually i'm gonna put a cam in. Right now im a little lowc on cash to rebuild it.
