I own an 87 LT250r and i love it. But like most other quad riders, i want more power. and before I put 1500 into my 250 engine. I would like to explore the possibilities of mounting a quadzilla (500cc, the lt250's big brother) engine into my chassis. As of now the LT250r engine is all stock along with the pipe, carb, and intake. The shocks are all works, they were on it when i bought it. So i dont need a suspension upgrade. Im just looking for sugestions on how i would go about doing this, or if anyone has done this before. It will be mostly for dunes, but also to horse around on with my buddies and their dirtbikes. I would also like to find somewhere where i could find a LT500 eninge/pipe/carb too. And also a place to sell my engine/carb (the pipe is already sold). I am very serious about wanting to do this, so any help is appreciated.

Chris

Try Eastcoastatv.com i heard it wasnt that complicated as it seams u use the lt250 raditior. But if you are going to do this conversion i would get the frame strengthened and guseted and also look into aftermarket shocks.
Also try skylines world for some info they built a lt 250/500 conversion
