1987 Suzuki LT230E Quadrunner Rebuild
#1
Ok so some of you might have read already that I recently traded a laptop for a full 230e and a slew of spare parts. I decided to take my spare frame and start a build from the ground up.
I've been told that the 230 was bored over .070. I have yet to determine this.
I figured I would post pics of the rebuild and update it as I go.
Here are the first pics of the spare frame cleaned up and painted black:

And here is the rear swing arm painted red:

(I am going to remove the guards on the bottom of the swing arm and paint them black. They were just helping me keep the arm in place while the red was being applied.)
Tomorrow I'm going to go out and remove the front suspension arms (or "A" arms) and paint them red as well. I'll get pics up as soon as possible.

So I got my head and clutch cover gaskets in today and I'll be putting it all back together tomorrow morning
Super excited about this bc as soon as I'm finished we are all going riding.
Oh and here's what I'm thinking of doing as far as the paint/plastic goes:

well I got the head gasket and the clutch cover gasket on but the jug's gasket is shot... and i'm experiencing some crazy carb problems... trying to figure it all out and now I need to pull the head and the jug off and replace the gasket... and on top of all that my exhaust is really loose ...the bolts are tight in the head but the pipe still moves like crazy...
