Was fooling around trinity's website, and in the StageIV parts, they sell a "sure shift kit" for around 80$....but the pic couldn't load,a nd looks interesting but I don't know what it is...
What's that stuff?

They smooth out or something like that the , i forget what it is called, but its like a gear kinda that the pedal moves. it will make it so that it shifts smoother, you dont miss gears, and nuetral isnt as sketchy to find.

 

from what you describe its prolly the shift star that the edges are rounded off, which sorta kinda makes it easier to shift
