master front brake and braided brake lines question
#1
Hey guys I need some help with my braking system,
I have a polaris scrambler and trailblazer I modified my braking system by:
i have custom braided brake lines one to the back and two for the front.
i eliminated the standarded polaris master brake cylinder and went with a
yamaha 450 master on the right side of the handle bars which is for the front brakes
then i used a artic cat 350 master for the rear brake also i kept the original rear master foot pedal since the rear caliper has 2 line intakes
the problem im having i like a little squishiness in my hadles when i apply pressure to the brakes but they more like 1/4"1/2" and get rock hard and i cant squeeze anymore.
is there a way to adjust something or a different master cylinder to use i want duel brake handles to control front and rear seperate..
anyone know if i have to bore the caliper chamber to allow more room for fluild ???
any ideas or knowledge if im just screwed in this and have to go back to original system which i dont want to do.. are the calipers set up that much different on yamahas to compensated the master cylinder??
thanks guys

There is a set master to slave bore relationship. If you play with that relationship (like you did) your going to have problems like you do.
The race car I drive has the same types of brakes you describe. I like them that way because I don't want to over brake.
