Default Jetting question

If your quad is fuel injected does it not need to be jetted?

Or do you only jet a quad when it has a carburetor?

Well, this really isn't true. Current machines are an open loop efi system. They can not adjust for performance parts, only temp/altitude changes. If you were to put an aftermarket exhaust and intake on MOST efi machines, you would need to buy an efi tuner and adjust the fuel/air mixture accordingly. And that is one of the great advantages of carbs. Either method of fuel delivery can be trial and error unless you are using a dyno to tune with, but jets are a lot cheaper to buy than a tuner. Jetting can be trying at times, but it really isn't a dark art or anything.
