Help! Spark plug? What is this?!
#1
Somebody just gave me 4 Bosch Platinum +4 spark plugs, have no idea what it is, the number on the box is 4418, the plug itself has 4418 on the bottom metal part and R3 084 on the ceramic.. Ive been trying to find out if this is the same or will work for the stock NGK B8ES? Anybody know? Do you know where there is a chart to compare the Bosch and NGK? Or does anybody know what plug this would be if it were NGK? Help

I dont know but I wouldnt use it in my quad. Splitfires and the similar are known to have the electrode fall off and into the engine. Then you would have a ton of money to invest into your motor to clean up the damage. I hear this from many people. Maybe others will back me up here. I would stick with the NGK.

No problem, I had checked both # you posted. The 4418 is the stock # of the plug. My cross ref is a bit dated, but My NGK supplier said that Bosch and NGK don't cross very well. I didn't have a lot of time today to look hard, got a bearing job on a polaris gear box in today, and of course the guy is in a major rush. Don't pitch the plugs yet, I haven't given up.
