Set valve clearence on a 4 stroke
#2
I suspect the engine is like most in that it has inspection covers for both valves. Remove these and you can check the clearances and make adjustments if necessary. There should also be a sight hole in the side of the crankcase so that you can set the flywheel to TDC. Both my Honda and Kawasaki have screw plugs in the sight hole that can be easily removed.
You may find it necessary to remove the gas tank and/or front fenders in order to get access to the valve covers. I believe you will also find that a feeler guage that as 45 degree tips works best when reaching into the head to measure the clearances.
Good luck.
