So I have a nearly new Coolster ATV. It sat for almost 2 years. So It needed to be tuned up. So far
I replaced the carb, air filter, fuel filter, changed oil, changed gas, replaced selenoid, battery, and spark plug.
I burned the starter out trying to start it before doing the above.
Put in new starter, started it once and then it over heated. Mechanic friend said sometimes starters are just bad out of the box.
Replaced the starter again, turned over a couple times and now it won't even turn over. Just click click click from selenoid.
Tried the jump the selenoid and still does not turn over.
Checked and battery is at 12V.
Every time I try to start the thing the battery and starter both get really hot to touch.
I'm assuming electrical problem?
I'm at a loss!!!!
Any suggestions?
