Hard starting 350D
#1
I have a 1987 Honda TRX350D Foreman that is very hard to start. Good spark, Fuel pump and relay ok. On full choke and cranking it wants to start but usually doesn't. Plug mostly dry. Once it starts and runs for a while (20 mins) and engine is hot it will die out and very hard to restart. Must let it go for about an hour and then it will usually start. Vapor lock? carb problems? Anybody experience problems like this? Suggestions.

Well, I used to own a 350, and it sounds like a problem we had with it when I was younger. We have cold winters and sometimes in the spring or fall if the bike is really cold, and u try to start it, the brushes on the starter stick and then get ruined. You have to leave the bike warm up first before using the electric start. 2nd, it must be the brushes, it did the same thing to me, took the starter off, replaced the brushes, and voila, all set, I'm not saying this is the problem, but seems like what you describing is the same problem I had, after it's warm, start starts lagging and turning over reaaaaaall slow.
Hope this helps.
