hey,

My father and I have a 2000 325 trail boss. the engine isn't nearly as powerful as I had hoped. therefor we have decided to attempt to put a kawasaki ninja 600 engine in. I have a fairly decent knowlege of engines and such, but have never undertaken a project of this nature. I need feedback, and fast. Please help. thanx
Len

P.S. any comments as long as they're not a total waste of time, meaning something like "why the h*ll would you do that" are and will be appriciated. thanx

there is a couple of problems with that engine. 1: those engines are VERY HEAVY. 2: With that much power, everytime you step on the gas you are going to break something. 3: if you don't break anything while laying on the throttle, you are going to be on two wheels alot more than four. 4: it is going to be difficult to align the engine to the rear wheels since the tboss has an auto tranny. 5: once you hit the gas, you are going to peel off the seat and go right to the hospital. it is going to be one bad *** quad if done right. you will have no problems beating LT500's in drag races!!!!!!!!!!!! i just hope you know what you are doing. too bad you do not have a sportsman 500 frame to put that engine into. kinda a waste of a good engine. put it in something that can handle the power. anyways.....have fun. don't kill yourself(!)

Since you have a Polaris I would recomend a motor out a snomobile, maybe a triple cylinder two stroke of even a 40 scambler motor, some have made them scream in sanddrags.

http://www.4x4tuff.com sells modular engines. You can get a 575cc single cylinder two stroke that uses CR500 cylinder on a billet bottom end.
