I am in the process of putting a LT185 motor into a LT125 frame. I have been told that they will interchange without any modifications. My questions are:
Will the LT 125 carb work?
Will the LT125 coil and CDI work?
And do I need to keep the LT125 sprockets and chain?

This quad is only being used for light utility work and hunting, as I am going to put front and rear racks on it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would think that you would have to use th 185s carb and electrical components, the sprockets should be interchangable, im not realy sure ive never heard of or seen one of the bikes you are talking about.

23 years later I can confirm. Engines are swappable plug and play. Had a blown 185 that I just put a 125 motor into. Only difference is primary drive gear is different size. All electrical is the same as well.
