That hayabusa engine would rip! Too bad it would cost too much. Just think, you'd be going faster in first gear with that motor than anything else. Check ebay motors, there is always a good deal too be had. There in an old kawi 550 motor on there real cheap that I want to put in my minibike
Off topic question: does anyone know anything on old (1948) jeeps? I've seen kits to put in chevy II engines. I have a 350 small block I'd like to throw in it but I want to keep the tranny/transfer case. Is there a kit for that motor? Any help at all would be appreciated. Thanks

my brother was eye-balling a swap to the ex500 motor for his, we just discovered it has a bent crank. after sizing it up, the lower frame rails would need to be significantly lowered at the very least. major mods are needed to put any 4-stroke into the frame, due to the space needed for the valves & cams. the lt250r compartment w/o the brace in front of the motor measures approx 16" tall by 21" long. the ex 500 motor is 22.5 inches tall. the lower frame rails would be 4" lower... or something to that effect. there is a guy in oregon that has successfully done this swap a few times, and it rips... but it takes work to do it right.
for now, i think my brother has decided to stay stock... but a swap to another 2-stroke still isn't out of question...

on the jeep thing... chevy v-8 can be fit into it i think.. but the better swap for better weight distribution & fit is a chevy 4.3L v-6. call advance adapters they know about all that swapping stuff, i've been out of the loop for a while. other things you'll probly need on that year will include major mods to the steering system, motor mounts, cooling system, its a long list... if you go to any v-8. i can almost guarantee you'll have to have the trans & T-case slid back, whick means new driveshaft lengths etc. etc. etc.
my brother had a 67 cj5 with a ford 289 v-8... too much power for the weight of the rig, it was scary. plus it was a big frankensteined mess. i had a '84 cj7 for a while, my dad has a '80 cj5, and that same brother has had 6 different jeep cj's/wranglers('55, 67, 78, 88, 89, 95) plus a cherokee or two.... i helped with some major stuff on some.... axle & drivetrain swaps, to complete frame-off builds. on my '84 we swapped from an amc 4cyl to a hopped-up '84 amc 258 I-6 & it was a hoot. now i want one again... got the bug, but i'm hoping my next one is a TJ.

I want to use a 250 because I already have one. My dad is service manager at a chevy dealership and has several crate motor lying around our house. I wanted to make this a rock-crawler. A v-6 would be a big imrovement, but not as much as the 350. Does Advanced Adapters have a website. I know it would require alot of other changes, but I was going to do a frame-up on this jeep.
