HpD racing power dome head?

i got a HpD head from a buddy i was wondering if i can put it on my stock 400 scrambler with no other mods,will this work?
if not what other mods must i do to run it?

It will work but not up to the potential unless porting and a pipe is added. I would advise a Weisco piston for stock pistons are prone to break. RCR or HPD can set you up with a trail mod that will wake your Scrambler up. RCR number is 618.644.3211. HPD number is 763.389.3336

thanks jumper i also got a carb in the trade its a 39mm i am thinking about selling them cause i trail ride alot dont know if i need all that power on the trails [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

If you already have these items I would consider going ahead and putting them on. Just because you will have new found power doesn't mean you have to use it. Lighten up on the gas a bit for awhile until you get used to it, believe me it won't take long to adapt.

Bermbanger400,

It's always better to have something and not need it, than to need it and not have it.

Just put them on, you can always do the high performance stuff at a later date, piece by piece. You may ahve to re-jet the carb if the carb is coming off a machine that's ported. The carb may be too rich.
