i bought a mojave about 5 months ago and I was wanting more power from it but wanted to go in the right direction. I have a couple friends w/ blasters and one went the right pipe/silencer choice and one didn't. i blow away the one that didn't chose right but the other one blows me away. I was wondering What I can do to increase power but there are different things I want so here theye are:1) i need a pipe that is quiet but has a good grunty sound over stock. 2) i want to be able to have a lot more low end torque so i can weelie more easily because my powerband doesn't kick in until way up on top end. 3) I also do a lot of mud and water riding and Am planning on putting on sur trac tires and don't want a power loss in the mud.
if anyone can answer some of these questions I will be greatly appresiated....
i was also wondering about mordr's mojave and his pipe he has on that, mordr if u can e-mail me at jumpinmojave@aol.com that will be cool. Thanx

Get a local engine builder to degree your cams for low end power.

Get a supertrapp ids2 pipe. It gives a lot more power over stock and sounds great. It is a very low grunty sound. Then get a 12 tooth sprocket for the countershaft. That will let you wheelie much easier and doesn't take much off of top speed. Get a k&n filter to let it breathe better.

a 12 tooth frt sprocket is what a stock mo has. for more torque you can change to an 11 tooth, but you probably wont like it.

You're right mojaveaddict. We dropped down one tooth to an 11 tooth front sprocket. It did make a difference low end but the top speed probably took a 5 mph loss. It is great for trail riding but not for wide open racing.

I would NOT eliminate the air box and go with and go with a clamp on if you were thinking about that-if you plan on sticking with the mud and water running-just a thought.
