240 big bore
#1
i have a 94 blaster and i was wonderin about the vitos 240 big bore kit. I thought that i have heard someone say they were junk. I was just wondering if it is worth the money and it does add some serious power. Do u have any other suggestions on big bore kits that maybve r better. Thanx for ur input

Of course the big bore kit is worth the money if u want the extra power out of your blaster. Im sure the person u heard they are junk from has never even tried Vitos 240 kit. Call Vito and get some details from him. His number is 248-969-9168.

I'm going to get a Vito's 240 kit over the winter. I did a lot of research on them and called them. It comes with a high comp. head gasket for use with 93, an L.A. sleeve, gaskets, a jet kit(i think),gaskets, and a Vito's 240 Power Piston. Best of all, the kit only costs $250, $160 more for installation. This kit made 30 hp on the Blaster that mobiledyno.com did their test on. My suggestions, get a timing key if you have a top-end pipe, get a K&n air filter or Uni Filter, get the ports polished by Vito, and, like any other big bore kit, get a bigger carb. Some say 30-35mm. You will get a ripping top-end but no low-end. I suggest a 28mm Keihin PWK. If you want he can also shave the head down for about 180lbs. of compression. But if you do that, get 50/50 racegas/93. Second to this kit would be the CT kit or the Trinity kit.

I have a 2000 Blaster with Wiseco Pro-Lite Piston .40 over, FMF Pipe & Silencer, K&N air filter, Boyesen Rad Valve, Carbon Fiber Reeds,260 Main Jet,Holeshot XC's all around on Douglas .190 Rims with rienforcing rings, Renthal Bars, DG nerfs, AC sixpac Rack, and I can waste a Blaster 2000 Blaster with a 240 kit because i raced a guy that had one where i ride at, I can also stay side by side with a 400ex. So I guess you can say that 240 kits do suck.
