And me with my little old 310 kit only making 50+ ponies. Darn, I feel cheated. (Ha Ha Ha) That's me laughing all the way to the bank.

Your laughing to keep from crying. Nowdays a 310 wouldnt make a good starter for a late model four stroke. (Ha Ha Ha) Thats me laughing, thinking we used to get around the sand on camels too.

I do lots more than just shoot hills with my machine. I am pretty sure that my power to weight ratio is better than most modded machines and even if it is not, so what! I ride what I like. A fast 250R is a beautiful thing.
Why are you so hostile, anyhow? Jealous? By the way, I went to your website. If a 310 is not even a good starting point, then why does your shop offer porting for stock 250R cylinders? Are you just some kind of A-hole who thinks that drag racing up the hill is the only thing that sand is good for? Nice attitude for a person who makes a living as a salesman.

now now boys...ridzhard, what did you expect for a response when you posted your statement? 'yea youre right, Im going to run right out and get me a 310'

I for one think that if you're going to go big bore, you might as well go BIG bore. The cost of the cylinder over a nicely ported 250 just isn't worth it in my book. But like you said, ride what you want, right?

Well, a bike with drag only a-arms, a drag only swing arm, drag only footpegs, and a drag only motor isn't really my idea of fun. Will I win up Olds? Probably not, but if I were to call Hardbody and tell them what my needs were and got that response, would I use them? Probably not. I will however, run my combo against anything in the same cubic dollar range. There is more to life than drag only. I really don't see 80 horse effective on the track or trails that I also ride. Especially with all the drag only parts he likes.

who said the motor has to go in a drag only setup? Some of that stuff is just what they offer, not 'required'

I bet that 500 is a SWEET tt/oval track motor.

"I will however, run my combo against anything in the same cubic dollar range."

Last time I raced Olds I didn't remember brackets for who spent the least amount on their bike. The only thing that mattered was who was first to the top.

"There is more to life than drag only. I really don't see 80 horse effective on the track or trails..."

C'mon now. You know you secretly desire to be King of the Hill!
