I am getting ready to buy a complete 85 atc350x.I am going to take it's engine and electrics and put them in a 250r frame.I was wondering if any body has done this before.I know people have done it before.Angela moore even had this done.But I need some info and where to get the exhaust any frame mods that might have to be done.

Also how well can a 350x be made to run.I was thinking have the head port and polished,low-mid cam and a good pipe with a 39 mm FCR carb.This should run well shouldn't?

I am not familar with the 350x engine.

And oh by the way I am buying another frame and starting from scratch not taking out my R engine.

Whatever you do, make sure the person doing the new motor mounts knows to get the sprocket aligned correctly. I have seen so many RX conversions that will throw a chain when the suspension compresses- including mine that was done by Rocky Ridge Racing. (Don't deal with those guys). I've seen the conversion done 2 ways. You can sread the frame rails to lower the motor as far as it can go, and you can raise the swingarm pivot bolt. Hope this helps.
