ok heres the scoop on the dex-cool its great stuff!!! i plan on putting it in my shee i just bought, the main difference from green is it longivity, its suppose to last for ten years or so to where green coolant has about a 2 year life, cop cars use it (they put on alot of hrs) but they also use really good hoses, but hey just be sure to pressure check your cap once in awhile, it can go bad and you wouldnt know its allowing air into your system, ive seen many a blown car engines becauls of a 2-4 dollar cap has gon bad, and yes do flush the system good before you make the change! im also plannong on putting a performance water impeler in my shee to make it run cooler (more hp) lot of luck see ya at the dunes sharkfin

$100.00!!, WOW Kadafiy I'm with you I think. I can almost get new front tires for that! I think my stock black hoses look pretty trick, hee! hee! That is strange that none of the Automotive places have the clear hose. Does Alba sell you the whole spool of that stuff or what!

It's just enough for one bike. I don't know if it is bent for certain bikes or not.

They say its good for 5 years but trust me dont leave it there for that long because youll be replacing more that just the coolant! Just like the new GMs arent supposed to need a tune up until 100k ha! Have you ever tried pulling out a plug thats been there that long, most of the time they break right off?

I have a 2000 banshee and i use a purple type coolant that i got from a local Freightliner dealership that will last for 10 years and comes already permixed at 50/50 and i have a temp gauge on my banshee and its runs cooler than the green coolant . It cost the same as the green coolant .

The orange stuff is made for the chev/gm's because of their silicone based gaskets. the green stuff will eat away at the gaskets. My dad found out the hard way as it had green in it from the factory, and a few weeks ago, it blew an intake manifold gasket. It is a 1996 350ci vortec by the way. since it is out of warenty, the dealer wouldn't do a thing.

I heard somewhere along the line that the Dex-cool stuff isn't compatable with brass/copper radiators.I don't have any info to back up that claim, just what I heard.

I have it in my old truck with a brass/copper radiator and it seems to run slightly warmer than the old green stuff.I may have too much coolant and not enough water, which could cause the engine to run hotter.
