I'm seriously considering buying a yamaha yz426 powered 400ex framed race quad. It has a Lobo front end with Axis shocks all around, Roll Design swingarm and stem. It also has a Walsh radiator, Fullbore plastic, Dominator axle, beadlocks, and all the other goodies.

I would like to know if anyone has rode a quad with a yz426 motor installed in a 400ex frame?
If so, how was the vibration and power and were you pleased with the result?

If you have any experience or input with this set up please comment. I have a new Suzuki z400 on order and now I'm not sure what to purchase. With all the add on components I plan on doing to the Suzuki it will cost as much as the yz426 Honda. What do you think? Thanks for the comments.

 

If that bike is located in Mississippi, I believe I have seen it......It was really nice......I dont know alot about the vibration, but I am building one right now.......I wouldnt give more than 12K for one with a stock frame......Do the math, you will see.......unless you just dont want to build it yourself.

 

That's the quad I'm trying to purchase. I'm waiting for some more pictures so I can make a final decision. The owners wife has never sent pictures by email and she's having a little trouble sending them. I'm sure she will figure it out soon. He said he will sell it to me for $10,000.00 which I think is a fair price for what it has. It would cost me much more if I was to build one from the ground up. Thanks for your response MXBUBS1.
