The GT 750 engine will make an excellent transplant, they are, in stock trim, way more torquey than the peaky Kawasaki all or nothing engines. Watercooling means they are not a one pass wonder either. Pipes and simple porting mods should see 80 - 90 BHP and totally relaible as a rock. Apparantely con rod strength limits reliable RPM to around 7500 or so.
Won't beat an H2 dragster but way way more usable.

The conversion should work well. I just completed mine and am in the process of testing. I had to make mods all over the bike though. As far as pipes, I used 3 fmf fattys and mated them to parts of the stock headers. Right now I am trying to locate an electronic ignition systems as my points are too big of a pain to keep set. I recently found out that the sprocket from the banshee and quite a few dirt bikes and other quads are the same, so sprockets will be easily obtained. I am running a 13-38 or 40 combo right now. This is good for just playing and going fast, but I think I am going to try a 12 and then go up in the back if neccesary for drag racing. This is with 22" tires. I am sure 18 or 20" tires would also make a big difference. I clocked it yesterday at over 65 in 3rd gear, so it had plently of speed right now, but just a little too tall of gearing to really wind out. It could also be in the ignition system and timing, and also in the old cv type carbs I have right now. I plan to get the electronic ignition and also switch to the mikuni or lectron type slide carbs. Well let me know how your progress goes and if you have any help for me, and I will do the same. It has been a fun and very challenging project to say the least. Lata, Patrick
