air box mod ?

hi im getting a pro flow system i was wondering if i were to cut holes in my air box wont that let dirt in easyer and if i where do i have to put a screen on the holes thaks for you help and time

juststout@hotmail.com and i was looking threw my rma mag and saw a filtered air vents for 7 $ should i get them or just drill holes

I'd use the vents. I've got 1" univents but I heard that trinity has a 5" vent that works good.

You really don't need to drill holes. Just take the snorkle off. That will give it plenty of air! I have so much air with the snorkle off, I have to re-jet again!!

I picked them up at my Yamaha dealer. 6 for around $10. I used a 1" hole saw & they just pop in.

Guardog I put in the Dynojet stage 2 kit & trimmed the restrictors out of the snorkel. This really improved airflow & I get the protection from water & trash the snorkle provides. Without the snorkel water & every thing else has a straight shot to the air box.

I don't believe you gained much if any air flow over just trimming the restiction flaps from the snorkel as I had to jet up when I did this also.
