The jet kit should make a noticable difference all by itself, with the free flowing filter. It may cost a little more, but first I would by a Pro Flow,(or something like it) filter adapter and ditch that poor sealing stock set up,then get the jet kit to go with it. The stock set up is hard to seal good without a lot of grease and making sure the lid is on good to hold it in place.I'm still waiting for mine to round out my new rebuild on my 95. As far as pipes, try to find a fairly quiet one,got to keep the trails open!,if you do a lot of mud riding, avoid the external disc types, they can plug up with mud, plus the extra heat and soot on the fenders can be a problem. Supertrapp IDS, the new FMF Q series, Big Gun,just to name a few, have a regular type muffler outlet to divert heat away from the fender area. Just a few suggestions,I know there are a lot more out there, and you will have to decide which is right for your needs.
