400EX Clutch System
#1
I got a PEP EZ clutch system from NAC'S, and I'm wondering if I wasted $35? I haven't installed it yet, so I don't know if it is for real. The PEP instructions say that the lever is from a Honda CR, and the perch has a Sun Line logo. Did I waste $35? I like the smoothness of the stock pull, and I like the click when the clutch engages. I don't know why I even went with the easy pull. $35 was burning a hole in my pocket I guess.
I have heard that the stock lever and XR400 perch produces the same exact pull as the stock setup. Is this true? Can I go to the dealer and buy an XR400 perch (or CR), and have the same pull as stock? Or will I like the PEP unit? Is the PEP system the same feel of stock, just easier, or is a whole new feel? Thanks.

Damn. Oh well. To return it, NAC'S is going to charge a 20% re-stocking fee plus I have to pay for shipping. It's not worth it.
I can't believe I didn't remember your advice. Gotta burn to learn, right?
One question: is the PEP system the same feel of stock, just easier, or is a whole new feel? Thanks.
