Supertrapp & uni filter???
#1
I ahve decided to get a ids 2 supertrapp slip-on pipe and uni filter for my 250 recon. I know i will have to rejet and i might buy a k&n jet kit. Will this be a good combination or will it be cheaper to just get the pipe and k&n power kit?? Also would I be able to get away without buying a jet kit and just buy some jets and what size should i get???
Thanks

The IDS2 I have on my Recon is not a slip on, it is a complete system.
Open up the small hole in the end of the intake snorkel. It is Quarter sized now, you could probably make it twice that size. By doing this, and adding pipe and filter, you MUST rejet.
I have the Dynojet kit, and it has an improved needle as well as a wide selection of jets. Depending on the mods you make, altitude and weather, your jet setup could be in a fairly wide range. Keep in mind, stock (Mikuni) and Dynojet jet sizes are NOT the same.
If you search the archives, there is quite a lot of very useful info on rejetting.
