CT and Trinity's dyno question??
#1
Okay who has what kind and which is more accurate. To many misleading numbers on both to make an honest comparison, especially for the Z-400. And what dyno is GT Thunder using?? One quad and totally different readings. And of course if CT is testing their pipe on their dyno it is the best. Same for Trinity and HMF... If you are wondering which dyno is the best, I don't know if any is better than the other.
H.P. is in the hand of the beholder! Meaning whoever is running the dyno on their own product is of course going to get the best H.P. reading.
The only unbiased dyno readings I know of, are some of the ones done by MP & DTR racing.
They have head to head comparisons of different pipes on the same quad (pretty much only 250R 2-strokes).
It shows that in stock form (engine) most of the pipes are pretty close in H.P. ratings. Most of the difference comes in where the RPM is when the power hits (midrange, high rev, etc).

Just want to know which is more accurate on stock numbers. CT says just over 29hp and others, can't remember, show 33hp. This is on a bone stock machine w/ not one single mod.. Same for 400ex numbers. So does it have 27hp or 22hp??? Like buying the same couch and one store says 5yr warranty on fabric and another says 7 yrs???

It seems to me that what most folks are concerned with is the relative HP. In other words, comparing the HP from the Z400 to a Raptor or a 400ex. If you can get results from the same dyno on different quads then you can make comparisons.
It seems that there are just too many variables. I wonder if tire size has much to do with it?
BTW Sorry I missed you on Sat. but, my Z was apart waiting for jetting and a pipe. How was the weather at Lil. Sahara?

A friend just had has Raptor built and Dynoed at trinity. 58 HP. Since I race and beat him, I have a hard time believing my banshee is running more than 60+.. Id like to dream that, but in reality?? Dont know...
