330 bb kit
#1
I plan on buying a 88-89 honda 250r and putting a 330 big bore kit in it. If anyone has done this can you tell me what I can expect as in speed, horsepower, torque. Oh and how will it hold next to a banshee. Thanks

The 330 kit is a handfull. It revs to the moon and has unbeleivable torque. If you dont have much experience on a R, I wouldnt recommend it right off the bat. It will run close to a banshee, but it will come on sooner. It is an awesome engine and not one for a beginer or unexperienced rider.

I would not go with trinity. They are very inconsistent with there work.. CT is pretty good. LRD is also a good choice. Curtis Sparks would probably be the best, but thats if you dont mind waiting. That 330 is awesome though.

You definitely don't want to get a 330 right away. They put out a claimed 58-62 HP(CT racing). A highly modified 250 puts out 45-48 HP and that is a handful sometimes. The 330 will blow a Banshee away, I don't even have trouble against Banshees on my 250 and it isn't even ported yet! Just modify the 250 motor first, then go to the 330 kit later. Once you get a 330, you always have to have a 330 because the cases must be machined.
