Cold Starting Problem
#1
I have a 1986 Yamaha YFM225 Moto-4. When it is warm out it starts fine, with out using the choke. When it gets down to 40 degrees it will start but run a little almost backfire and then stop. Other times it will not start at all. Seems to flood out I think.
I had a Yamaha dealer work on the choke this spring. Think it could be sticking open?
Also, anyone know if the cam chain adjuster is automatic or manual on the YFM225?
Thanks for any suggestions.

Well I got the problem Fixed. Turned out that the choke was stuck open. It surprised me that it was frozen as I had the choke worked on this spring. It was really corroded and I had a hard time getting the choke out of the carb. Got it cleaned up, (did the whole carb as I had it out), and put back together. Now it runs real good again. I have been starting the Moto-4 every few days just to insure that the problem is corrected. It starts right up everytime time. Supposed to get cold this weekend and I am going hunting again, so "Old Red" as she is called, will get a work out.
