banshee frame switch (need help with custom pipes)
#1
my current mount is a 89 banshee with a swedetech modified engine, dean sundahl modified stock frame (gussets and a-arm conv.) and a truck load of other bolt-ons. I'm currently looking into purchasing a c&j banshee frame with a honda front-end, however custom pipes are needed for the swap
I have come up with solutions for all the other problems except for the pipes. I would like to know if anybody else has done this conversion or know of a person or company capable of doing a quality custom job. After the hassels my body has gone thru at CT with his 310 kit I wouldn't even consider them for some custom pipes. All help is greatly appreciated!

I'm not exactly sure how the frame is built so I do not know the extent of modification needed to the pipes. One option is to buy unchrmoed pipes and heat them so you can shape tehm to go where you need them to. Afterwards you can chrome them. Some companies build special purpose pipes. Call somebody like cpi or port magic. The guy that builds pipes for port magic builds most everybody's pipes and he cna build special application pipes.Is the whole frame based on 250r geometry? If so then he can build a banshee demension pipe with 250r geometry. C&J doest have anybody that builds pipes for them?

david;
A good friend of mine just went through the same thing.... he got a lonestar chassis w/ 250r geometry and it uses the banshee motor/plastic. He tried many pipes and ended up with LRD's. I think the only other pipes that came close were the Paul Turners... I dont know all of the details but you can give K&K atv a call and I am sure he can help you... They built the banshee/250r for one of his riders.
good luck
