Does anyone have the Full Bore plastic from Trinity and how does it look next to the stock Honda plastic? If anyone has pictures send them. I dont want Maier plastic it just doesnt look the same. I hate to shell out over $$$500 for the stock plastic.
THANKS

Full Bore is nice stuff, and looks BETTER than Honda plastic. It's shiny, unlike Maier, and the design is more modern looking than Maiers also. Cascade Innovations also sells Full Bore, and since it's made in Oregon, they could probably get it sooner if Trinity didn't have it in stock.

it looks good, but it is different! Be aware of a possible culture shock! It's not that much different, but it is a different look. One word of caution. With the one piece design, its a nightmare to get off and on.

There is a major problem with the Fullbore.

I know tons of guys who have it, and they have all had this problem. The rear fenders crack from vibration. The plastic is too rigid and it can't take any flexing, so it cracks instead. This all happens after about three or four days of good hard riding, and it does not take any crashing to start it.

You have been warned.

I've raced cross country for the last 2 years and my stock 86 plastic is just starting to get beat up. I guess even though over priced you cant beat Honda plastic. Thanks

Have you considered putting 400EX plastic on your bike. The price would be more in line with the full bore yet you get the durability of factory plastic. We use this on all of our practice bikes and keep the factory 250r plastic on the race bikes. It takes a little work but if you are patient the 400 plastic can look real good on an R. You also need to use the 400 seat.

If you get maier plastic and before installing it use some plastic renew on it, it will come out lookin all shiny instead of dull.

I have thought about 400ex plastic, but I had my frame powdercoated blue. (not the best match ) I wish Honda changed the red plastic to white for 2000.......maybe next year......
