I wouldnt go with a big bore. If you want to go bigger then get a stroker. You can get as small as a 3mm. Even teh 3 runs hard. It is still really reliable. Even the 5mm is reliable. With the 3 you dont have to machine the cases, just drop in and raise the ports 1.5mm ports. Really though a good 350 is hard to beat. There are allot of good companies who can do the work. Port magic is really good, LRD and Duncan, sparks are all good. I personly only let c&o and port amgic get my buisiness, but thats just personal preference.

I haven't owned a Banshee in a few years, but I can vouch for Rudy (Port Magic). He builds killer Banshees! My 87 had a .040 overbore w/ Rudy's porting, Toomey's, Trinity 35mm single carb, Trinity super lite pistons, and Fastline ignition. That bike hauled and was VERY fun cuz it had a fairly broad powerband. I figure 65HP or so on VP fuel. I've seen some of Trinity's bikes kick booty. A 350 Banshee on alky smoked my friend's ~80HP CR500 trike at Pismo. Maybe they're porting specs are just outdated or not quite up to spec. I feel Harry (owner) makes some really good products, he just needs to build motors to go with them. Oh yeah, if you don't need your lights, I HIGHLY recommend some sort of statorless ignition. My Fastline was a night and day difference. In a sand drag or hillclimb, my bike would start rolling on a wheelie 15-20 feet after I dumped the clutch.

Barndon I've been working way to much to pay for my weding. Haven't been able to get to my computer. Thanks for all the help. I just got my upper end back from trinity. There will be 30 of my freinds going up to bull gap for my bachler party. Then for my hunymoon I will be at Silver Lake Sand dunes. When I get back I will send my jugs out to get checked out. I will be in the market for some Alky carbs. That carbs do you perfer for your app. I'm also thinking of making my own drag frame. If you have seen any good looking pitures of drag frames let me know.

since we are talking about big bores and strokers I would just like to see your opinions on the engine I am deciding to build 5mm stoker RD400 rods Blaster pistons suppose to be a fairly reliable engine that cruises through the dunes and will compete pretty decent on the sand hills

Well congratulations 420! I am actually building a frame as we speak. It is not real hard. What you have to do is use the banshee craddle where the motor and swingarm bolt in. Then refab the front end using only the lower a arm and built a bracket from teh shock mount up to where the upper arm bolts onto the spindle, You will need to use a ball joint to conect it. Just shape everything like a lonestar. I wills end you some pics of mine when i get finished, probably next week. Not fastenough: The motor set up you are talking about is a great one. In fact its the motor Iam seriousely thinkning about building. I am tired of being so unreliable and that set up is very fast! I am running a similar set up right now, but I want to try a different stroke. I have a friends who run that set up and it is very good. I think it would be wise choice.

Brandon are you making your frame out of kromealloy. I you are I highly suggest going with an aluminum sub-frame. It will save you alot of weight. I'm trying to figure out how to make a frount sub-frame still haven't figured that one out yet. I just got my parts back from trinity. I am going to send my parts to Vito's. Alot of people by me have highly recamended them. They will be able to tell me about trinitys port work.
