I got the may issue but haven't found anything yet.
The website I metioned above shows how to make a air leak tester. When I get some time I might make one. I noticed my head gasket is leaking so I've got to fix that before I do any more monkeying around.

 

I am cured! Replacing my scratched carb slide (the dull metal under the shiny nickel? coating was showing) has somehow fixed her right up, runs perfect.. it is a $55 part too, ouch.
