la sleeve 295 for the 250R
#3
i ordered 310 kit from ct for around $950 to my door. it includes cylinder(ported), head, piston, gaskets, pin, bearing and all jets and carb needle.my head needed rechambered and the cly bored, by the time i did this and bought all the parts for the topend i would have spent close to $400. the resleeve jobs are $500+ and you don't get all the other parts like the head and jetting. i'll let you know how it performs monday.

The 310 kit is the same as the 295 you just get a better cylinder. I have heard that the 295 sleeves run real hot for some reason, I don't really know. After you make all the mods to the 295, you could have bought the 310 anyway, and you would probably be happier.

From my experience, the LA Sleeve 295 is pushing the limits with the stock jug. The sleeve is close to the water jackets. I've seen water jackets crack after having the 295 sleeve installed. Yes, the Pro-X cylinder kit is expensive, but very reliable.
